I would like to address one of the most common mistakes I have seen people make in games with wights. It is amazing how many people think wights are great for gaurding flags. Oh how wrong they are too! Nothing (even an unguarded flag) gives me greater pleasure then to see a wight sitting alone ontop of a flag with the rest of the army sitting off to the side out of range. All I have to do is send in one berzerker and I have the flag and get a free army to defend it with too! My berzerker kills the wight and is nearly killed by the blast but survives long enough to caputure the flag (sometimes even escaping before the enemy can wreak thier revenge on him). The enemy, seeing his flag is defenseless moves his troops in immediately to gaurd it in a more reasonably effective manner but meanwhile I have captured a flag that no one else can get immediately after me because the army I took it from is now gaurding it for me. Just yesterday I was playing a game of flag rally on spiderweb and managed to capture 4 flags without having to fight a single significant battle. The first flag I got was of course my own but the second was the one across the river which I captured with my spider before the other team even thought of gaurding it (they gaurded it for me after I got it though:). The third one I got when I sent my two wights towards the middle and somehow they captured the open flag that was being gaurded by a bunch of soldiers and zerks and soulless all of which were sitting around the perimeter of the hill. The middle team seemed to think he could kill my wights with his 4 souless before they got to the flag (I didn't like his soulless there though so i chopped them to peices with my zerks from behind before they could get more than a few shots off). The fourth flag was gaurded by a wight sitting on the flag, a fetch sitting a little ways from the flag and some soldiers a little ways off. I took three zerks over (though I really only needed two or only one if the fetch hadn't been there). Anyway, I sent one zerk in ahead of the rest and killed the wight, dying in the process at the hands of the fetch before he could get the flag. My two other zerks followed immediately behind him and captured the now open flag before the soldiers could get there. At this point I had captured all but one of the flags and noone else had more than one or two (someone else got the middle one after me). All I had to do was gaurd my flag the rest of the game and I was assured of a landslide victory. If you want to see the film of that one I think i'm gonna submit it to the film archive here (it has a great three wight explosion inthe middle after my wights capture the middle flag!) :).
